Catapult and Paderewski Vineyards, Paso Robles
52% Grenache Blanc | 39% Viognier | 9% Roussanne
Thirst-quenching, rock licking, ambrosia in a bottle – Epoch's 2013 White is a wine of its own personality. A deliciously serious twist on white Rhone varieties, it is only fitting that a west Paso white can be as profound and expressive as its red cousins from the same vineyards. We have officially geeked out and done many different fun winemaking techniques on this white – from concrete fermentation on Grenache blanc to skin contact on the Viognier. The result is a wine with great minerality and acidity (thank you Grenache blanc) with mouth-coating stone fruit and ginger spice elements courtesy of a nice wallop of Viognier. This wine should age beautifully, if you’re willing to wait that long!
